Biography

Robin Yeager is a professional writing, editing and research consultant and an online writing coach.

Robin started as a journalist. She edited broadcast news for an international wire service and reported for, and edited, a weekly trade magazine in Texas. Later, she traded her keyboard for a camera. Her photos illustrated a wild vintage car race in Mexico for GQ and a quirky triathlon in Panama for Triathlete magazine.

After practicing law in New York City, Robin worked as a litigator, a mediator, and a technical researcher in Southern California. As a Climate Fellow for a non-profit, she developed the baseline greenhouse gas inventory for Del Mar, CA. In northern Arizona, Robin served as a business manager. Now based in Northern California, she is a professional online writing tutor for undergraduate and graduate students.

Robin is a member of The Ocean Foundation’s Board of Advisors. Previous volunteer activities included service as a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Board of Trustees and as chair of LACBA’s Individual Rights Section. She received a Distinguished Service Award from the Beverly Hills Bar Association for leading a delegation of volunteer lawyers during an annual statewide conference.

Robin graduated with honors from Southern Methodist University with a BA in political science and a BFA in journalism. She earned her JD at George Washington University Law School. A former scuba diving instructor, Robin received her Master’s degree in marine conservation and policy from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California San Diego.
